TrojanTrack Launches Revolutionary Horse Movement Analysis Technology Across the UK and Ireland
With equestrian welfare and performance under increasing scrutiny, TrojanTrack enters the market at a pivotal moment for the industry, signalling a shift towards more transparent, data-led horse care. As of 12 January, TrojanTrack has officially launched in the UK and Ireland, introducing a new app designed to support everyday equine management through advanced movement analysis.
Built to integrate seamlessly into daily yard routines, the platform blends cutting-edge technology with a simple, accessible user experience suitable for equestrians of all levels and disciplines. Designed with welfare at its core, TrojanTrack empowers riders, owners, trainers and professionals to make more informed decisions around horse health and performance.
Bridging Technology and Horsemanship
TrojanTrack was developed to close the gap between traditional horsemanship and modern technology. Using only a smartphone and tripod, the system captures highly accurate biomechanical data as a horse walks past in as little as seven strides. With no wearables required, the non-invasive analysis measures 52 key data points, including joint angles, velocities and accelerations.
These metrics are processed using AI, with an actionable report generated within minutes directly in the TrojanTrack app. Reports provide clear, objective insight across balance, gait, joints, hooves, hips and head movement, while establishing individual baselines for each horse to support long-term performance tracking.
Rather than comparing horses against a generic standard, TrojanTrack recognises that every horse moves differently. Subtle changes in movement are monitored over time, allowing even minor asymmetries to be flagged early. Shareable reports also enable seamless collaboration between riders, vets, physiotherapists and farriers, helping teams move from instinct-led decisions to preventative, data-backed care.
Early Results in Real-World Settings
The platform’s value is already being demonstrated in competition environments. In a recent case study, a high-level horse returning to work after injury appeared sound, with only occasional unevenness noted by the rider. Routine TrojanTrack reports, however, consistently identified joint-level changes over a seven-day period, with reduced range of motion in the right hind hock compared to the left.
Although the differences were subtle and easily missed by the human eye, the data prompted further investigation. This led to the discovery of a serious joint infection that could have escalated rapidly without early intervention. TrojanTrack supported proactive decision-making by highlighting patterns that might otherwise have gone unnoticed, reinforcing the importance of prevention over cure.
Strong Industry Support Following Launch
Since launch, more than 50 horses are already using TrojanTrack as part of their daily routines and training programmes. The platform is supported by leading figures in the sport, including Shane Breen and Trevor Breen of Breen Equestrian, alongside Mark McAuley of La Tuilière Stables.
Shane Breen commented:
“It’s for every horse. Every rider. Because every horse deserves the same level of care. One of the great things about it is you can just walk across the yard, and then you have your data. It’s that simple.”
TrojanTrack is also supported by All England Jumping Course Hickstead, bringing movement analysis to the heart of British equestrian sport and allowing riders, owners and professionals to experience the technology first-hand.
Growing Recognition for Innovation
Momentum continues to build, with TrojanTrack receiving multiple industry accolades, including One to Watch Award at University College Dublin’s 2025 AI Ecosystem Accelerator, B2B winner at the InterTradeIreland Seedcorn Awards, finalist for The Irish Times Innovation of the Year, and recognition as one of Ireland’s Top 100 Startups by the Sunday Business Post.
Each achievement reflects TrojanTrack’s commitment to raising standards in equine welfare, performance and innovation.
As adoption grows across the equestrian community, TrojanTrack’s launch represents more than the arrival of a new app. By combining advanced biomechanical analysis with everyday practicality, the platform is helping riders, owners and professionals move beyond guesswork towards confident, data-driven decision-making, setting a new benchmark for accessible, welfare-focused technology in equestrian sport.
